Gameplay Changes

  • Auto-refresh Soul behavior:
    • "Auto-refresh used soul" occurs only at start of the turn. This means, if you run out of Souls, your turn will be over even when you have some energy left. You need to think strategically to plan your next moves and use your energy efficiently. This change is introduced to prevent endless turn bugs that are caused by Charge.
  • Skip Turn button:
    • Now, your turn won't end automatically if you have some zero cost Souls left. Pressing the "Skip Turn" button doesn't refresh unused souls.
      • Although the "Auto-refresh" change takes some control away from you when it comes to 0-cost Souls, this change gives you more control when to play 0-cost Souls.
  • Rewards after Boss fights:
    • HP/Armor is offered in addition to an "Ultima" after a boss fight
      • This change addresses a game-breaking bug when there is no space left in the ship for the Ultima reward
  • Initial Soul draft:
    • Now the game offers 4 Souls 2 times, instead of 3 Souls 3 times. They are not random anymore. Additionally, Devotion is removed the initial draft pool.
      • We used to offer these initial Souls in a random order to make every run a little bit different even from the start. Now we realize, this randomness is not something you prefer at the start of the sessions; as you're more inclined to restart until a good roll hits. This is something we want to avoid to give you meaningful choices and save your 

Minor Improvements

  • We got some feedback that it is hard to understand when it is your turn. To address this, we added a slight animation that emphasizes the ship of the current turn
  • Some animations are sped up
  • Cursor changes color when it is not your turn
  • Mercenary is renamed: Enforcer
  • Royal guard is renamed: Baron
  • Baron is renamed: Royal guard

Soul Balance Changes

  • Benevolence doesn't effect Repulse, Pierce and Terror anymore
    • Benevolence combos create huge values compare the curve.
    • We would like you to use Benevolence with the Souls that have Synergy icons.
  • Patience cost -1 Max Power => 0
  • Mercy cost Max 1 Power => 0
  • Cleanse cost 2 => 0
  • Benevolence synergy requires "Row" => "Diagonal"
  • Lust cost 4 => 5

Enemy Balance Changes

  • Trickster <=> Cargo Freighter
    • Trickster HP 50 => 40
    • Cargo Freighter HP 15 => 30
  • Templar <=> Mercenary
    • Templar damage increases 3 => 4
  • Assault Gunship <=> Baron
    • Assault Gunship HP 25 => 30
    • Assault Gunship takes self damage 1 =>
    • Assault Gunship self armor 4 => 6
    • Baron HP 40 => 35
  • Final Boss (King) was underpowered
    • Damage per turn 2 => 5

Bugfix

  • The input field that you enter your ship's name was automatically launching the game if you deselect it. It's fixed now
  • Discord link is updated
  • A bug regarding removing Souls is fixed
